HIGH resolution smartphones that sport a 5-inch display at the very minimum seem to be the new flagship for smartphone manufacturers, and it is not hard to see why
After all, Full HD 1080p capability delivers unprecedented clarity and
sharpness, be it a page of text or a collection of images, and with the
Oppo Find 5, you are in for a treat. This Android-powered smartphone
will arrive here as part of the first batch of international
availability, joining the usual suspects such as the US as well as a
fair number of countries in Europe. The Oppo Find 5 is touted to come
with a Full HD 5-inch display, run on a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro
processor, sport 2GB RAM with a generous 2,500mAh battery that ought to
keep it going for the entire day of normal use without needing a
recharge, alongside a 13-megapixel camera, all crammed into a chassis
that is amazingly thin at just 6.9mm.
Pricing details aren’t out just yet, but don’t expect it to come cheap. After all, you do get what you pay for.

Remote that does magic
LG has just announced that it has a spanking new LG Magic Remote for
its range of Cinema 3D Smart TVs which will debut at CES 2013. The
remote has been redesigned to adopt enhanced language recognition
capabilities for making executing commands in the most simple, natural,
interactive and conversational manner possible. Not only that but it
also retains all four control options — voice, gesture, point and wheel —
making this the most complete universal remote ever. With the LG Magic
Remote, you can issue a verbal command in a simple and effective manner.
Thanks to the new Natural Language Recognition software, speaking out
voice commands are as easy as regular speech, and it also lets you talk
in a more conversational manner. Imagine doing away with the awkward
pauses between the command and the title. You can just say “Show me
Gangnam Style video” and the new Magic Remote will take note of your
request and get to work right away.
The remote also doubles up as a universal control solution, letting you
control not only Smart TVs but compatible set-top boxes, sound bars and
Blu-ray players as well. You can choose from the premium and regular
versions of the LG Magic Remote. The former comes with LED back-lit
buttons for easy operation in the dark.
Multitasking on Android
SOUTH Korean manufacturer Samsung has announced the Samsung Galaxy
Grand, a smartphone positioned to cater to those who live fast-paced
mobile lifestyles and demand more from their smartphone. Running on
Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean (with Project Butter on board for that super
smooth user experience), Galaxy Grand has a 5-inch display that delivers
an expansive viewing experience in brilliant colour and clarity.
Despite the generous screen size, it remains slim, ergonomic and
comfortable to hold. In fact, you can also perform multitasking on the
Samsung Galaxy Grand, thanks to the Multi Window feature, and everything
is held together by the dual-core 1.2GHz processor underneath the hood.
Other hardware specifications include a powerful camera with zero
shutter-lag and a super fast camera start-up time, accompanied by a
backside illumination sensor that delivers clear shots even in low light
conditions.
Want Full HD video recording? The Samsung Galaxy Grand does that as
well. Apart from that, the Samsung Galaxy Grand also features a dual SIM
feature that delivers total communication flexibility, letting you
manage a couple of numbers from a single handset. Basically, you can
receive a phone call on one line while putting it on hold and attending
to the other incoming call, without having to disable either line. Neat,
no?

illumination system. It does not come with difficult installation
procedures as required by previous projector-based systems. In fact, you
